Quantum group-theory methods were used to describe and classify dislocations in crystalline materials. The Trzesowski-Slawianowski group-type classification of dislocations was generalized. New solutions of quantum group type, for the Gl(n,R)-invariant model of continuous media, involved an additional deformation parameter. In this way, it was possible to obtain a mathematical description of dislocation creation and annihilation.
