The diffusion coefficient of oxygen in β-Ti was measured by using the molten flux method at 1273 to 1473K. The concentration profile of oxygen in titanium rod sample was strongly dependent not only upon the temperature but also upon the interfacial oxygen concentration. A good correspondence was found between measured and calculated results, which was evaluated by coupling the binary regular solution model and atomic theory of diffusion.
