Schwob, Tachiki and Everett had studied the ferromagnetic resonance spectrum of thin EuS films, in order to find effective pinning fields at the surface that exhibited a very strong temperature dependence well below the bulk Curie temperature. It was suggested that these data provided evidence for the phenomenon of surface spin reconstruction.
