A dense membrane of perovskite Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3−δ was successfully prepared
by polymerized complex method. Oxygen permeation according to carbon dioxide
concentrations was measured in the oxygen partial pressure range of 2.1 x 10−3 at
about 0.63atm and phase stability of membrane were examined using SEM-EDS.
The oxygen flux increased with increasing temperature and pressure difference and
the maximum oxygen permeation flux through 1.0mm membrane was ca.
3.7ml/cm2min at 950C. The oxygen permeation in the condition of air and CO2 (300 to 700ppm) in feed stream decreased more than 43% in comparison with air
feed stream.
