Ionic conductivity of La4/3yLi3yTi2O6, where y was 0.21, dispersed by various

amount of SrTiO3 was measured by complex impedance method, and powder Xray

diffraction measurements and scanning electron microscopic observations were

carried out. With increasing SrTiO3 concentration, the conductivity decreased. At

34mol%, the Bragg peaks at 11, 26 and 35° in La4/3yLi3yTi2O6 disappeared in Xray

diffraction patterns and small non-angulated crystals were revealed by scanning

electron microscopy. The behaviour of ionic conductivity was explained by using

the effective medium approximation theory.
