Such stresses, as predicted by the Mughrabi composite model, were compared with the stress fields that were produced by the corresponding arrangement of straight edge interface dislocations. The analytical method that was used allowed for the separation of long-range and short-range stress components. The present 2-dimensional calculations confirmed that the original 1-dimensional model adequately accounted for the long-range internal stresses.
