The structure of a (340)/(010) asymmetrical boundary in the body-centered cubic lattice, with a [001] rotation axis, was considered. Four low-energy atomic configurations of the boundary were identified by means of computer simulation. Local properties, such as the atomic volume and pressure, were determined in order to find atomic sites which might be important for solute segregation. A new method for the visualisation of crystal defect structures was proposed which was based upon atomic coordination.
