High-temperature values of the Debye temperature, which was assumed to constitute a dynamic parameter for the boundary core and adjacent lattice regions, were determined for polycrystalline samples of transition and noble metals. It was found that the Debye temperature was almost half that in a regular lattice if vacancy-interstitial impurity complexes did not segregate in the polycrystal.
