The stress function was useful for solving problems associated with elasticity theory. An integral form of the stress function for the stress field produced by dislocation loops in anisotropic crystals was reported here. The derivation of the stress function was supposed to be easily comprehensible, because it was found by solving Poisson's equation, whose properties were well known. As a result, it was possible to estimate some physical properties of arbitrarily-shaped dislocation loops in anisotropic crystals.
