The Lee-Dundurs expression, for the displacement field of a straight dislocation parallel to the free surfaces of a thin foil, was corrected. By means of integration, it was possible to derive the minimum deflection of a coherent hetero-interface which was generally perpendicular to the free surfaces. Numerical results were presented for thin semiconductor bicrystals with misfits of between 0 and 15%.
