The peculiarities of spatial distributions of misfit dislocations near to the interfaces of heterophase materials were considered. These peculiarities included a shift in misfit dislocations to the stand-off position at the interface, the formation of non-uniform misfit dislocation distributions along the interface, and temporal and spatial oscillations in defect density near to the interface. The present approach permitted the location of the stand-off positions of misfit dislocations, and the determination of the critical misfit strain and film thickness which corresponded to the transition between uniform and non-uniform dislocation distributions.
