Neutron reflectometry in combination with isotope multilayers was an advanced method to determine ultra-low diffusion lengths and self-diffusivities in solids. An approach was presented which allowed the extraction of volume self-diffusivities from reflectivity patterns in nanocrystalline materials in the type-B kinetics regime.
