Dynamic drag of edge dislocations by prismatic dislocation loops was studied. It was shown that the appearance of activation in the vibration spectrum of moving edge dislocations led to the dry friction effect. Numerical evaluations had shown that this effect on dislocation dynamics could be rather significant at high loop concentrations.
