The kinetics of variation of the diffusion properties of non-equilibrium grain boundaries related to the absorption of vacancies generated in the course of plastic deformation of a material was studied. It was demonstrated that the sink of the deformation-induced vacancies to grain boundaries could increase the grain boundary diffusion coefficient by one to two orders of magnitude. An approximate analytical expression was obtained that described the dependence of the coefficient of diffusion along non-equilibrium grain boundaries on the strain rate and value of strain.
