The results of studying the size dependence of the vacancy concentration in nanoparticles were presented. An analysis demonstrated that an increase in the vacancy concentration with decreasing nanoparticle size was the most grounded conclusion with allowance for the relationship between the melting temperature, the binding energy, and the energy of vacancy formation.
