The fundamental solution was derived for the two-dimensional elastic field in a plane of two joined semi-infinite plates; one of which was isotropic while the other was anisotropic. A concentrated force and/or dislocation were applied at a point in the anisotropic semi-infinite plate. A closed-form solution was obtained by using complex variable methods. A special case of an isotropic-orthotropic two-phase medium was deduced from the general solution, including the case where the principal direction of elasticity of the orthotropic medium was not parallel to the interface of the plates. A number of the elastic parameters which were necessary to describe the stress field due to the dislocation was also investigated.
