The effect of a magnetic field upon a cloud of point defects which surrounded a charged dislocation, moving in an ionic crystal under the action of a mechanical stress, was studied. It was assumed that the magnetic field was parallel to the dislocation axis. Formulae were obtained for the calculation of the dipole and quadrupole moments of a dislocation-cloud system, and for the potential difference which arose between crystal faces.
