The mechanical properties were considered for various obstacle configurations (series, parallel), various dislocation/obstacle regimes (exhaustion, crossing) and various obstacle strengths (one, or a spectrum of differing strengths). Models which had been proposed for Ni3Al were compared with regard to the yield stress anomaly and the partial reversibility of flow stress upon decreasing the temperature.
