The elastic field of an infinite homogeneous medium containing 2 circular cylindrical inclusions, under the action of a screw dislocation, was investigated by using conformal mapping and the analytical continuation theorem. It was found from the results that the elastic field depended upon the shear moduli of the individual phases, the geometrical parameters of the system, and the position and relative slip of the screw dislocation. The case was also considered in which 2 circular cylindrical inclusions (holes and/or rigid inclusions) were tangential to each other. Numerical results were presented which summarised the interaction between a screw dislocation and 2 circular cylindrical inclusions.
