Samples which had been deformed at 1750 or 2000C were studied. It was found that the dissociation of the basal dislocations was consistent with a mechanism which was related to synchro-shear that occurred at above 1700C. From these results, it was deduced that the stacking-fault energy was 50mJ/m2.
