Constant-volume molecular dynamics calculations were performed for a cubic yttria-stabilized zirconia, (Y2O3)x(ZrO2)1-x, where Y layers and Zr layers were alternately arranged to form a superlattice. A considerable enhancement of the diffusion of oxygen ions was observed at the composition, x = 0.33, where the diffusion coefficient in the superlattice was about three times larger than that for a random distribution of Y ions.
