Self-diffusion coefficients and nuclear spin relaxation times were measured as a function of coverage in the multilayer region for benzene adsorbed on graphitized carbon. The diffusion coefficients increase and the spin lattice relaxation times decrease with decreasing coverage. The results were interpreted in terms of exchange between regions of different mobility. The spin-spin relaxation times, however, were independent of coverage.
