The grain-boundary diffusion of 59Fe in the pure material, and in Cr-, Fe- or Zr-doped samples, was studied at 873 to 1273K by using the serial sectioning method. The usual product was obtained from the penetration profiles by using both Le Claire's analysis and a direct fit to Suzuoka's solution. It was found that the activation enthalpy for the grain-boundary diffusion of 59Fe (table 12) was somewhat lower than the equivalent value for 51Cr.
