The self-diffusion behaviour was studied, under an O partial pressure of 150torr, at 1100 to 1600C. From the diffusion profiles, measured using secondary ion mass spectrometry, it was deduced that the self-diffusivity at 1200 to 1600C was described by:

D (cm2/s) = 5 x 101 exp[-5.6(eV)/kT]
