A consistent system for models of phase potentials in the binary systems La-B, Zr-B, La-Zr, and the ternary system La-Zr-B, was constructed. The liquidus line for the quasi-binary section LaB6-ZrB6 was calculated with the help of the model. The calculations were in good agreement with experimental data. The developed system permitted prediction of the effect of alloying elements upon liquidus surface configurations.
