The magnetization, specific heat and entropy of the Coqblin-Schrieffer model for S = 3/2 in the presence of a magnetic field, obtained previously by numerically solving the thermodynamic Bethe-ansatz equations, were compared with recent experiments on Ce impurities in LaB6, where the cubic crystal field was believed to lead to a Γ8 ground-multiplet. Discrepancies were attributed to a splitting of the Γ8-quartet.
