The diffusion of atomic H, which was cathodically generated on one side of membranes (20 to 50μ) that were used as bi-electrodes, was monitored by measuring the open-circuit potential of the other side. The room-temperature diffusivity was estimated to be equal to 5 x 10-12 cm2/s.
