An investigation was made of the diffusion of H in liquid electrolytic Fe. The diffusivities were deduced from the rates of dissolution of H from Ar-H mixtures in molten Fe; as determined by quenching the specimens after diffusion and analyzing them for H by means of hot extraction techniques. The diffusivity at 1600C was equal to 1.5 x 10-3 cm2/s, and the results for temperatures ranging from 1550 to 1650C could be described by:
D (cm2/s) = 1.86 x 10-3 exp[-9.37(kcal/mol)/RT]
