It was found that the data for polycrystalline samples, at 500 to 900C, were described by:

D (cm2/s) = 8.95 x 10-1 exp[-45.90(kcal/mol)/RT]

R.E.Hoffman, D.Turnbull: Journal of Applied Physics, 1951, 22, 634

The best linear fits to the solute diffusion data ([473] to [487], [517] to [528]) yield:

Ag: Ln[Do] = 0.33E – 15.5 (R2 = 0.73); O: Ln[Do] = 0.69E – 13.2 (R2 = 0.998);

O(l): Ln[Do] = 0.42E – 9.4 (R2 = 0.98)
