An investigation was made of the Gorsky effect in the Nb-H system by using internal friction measurements at a vibrational frequency of 16Hz. The results for temperatures ranging from 235 to 830K could be described by:

D (cm2/s) = 5.4 x 10-4 exp[-0.109(eV)/kT]

A deviation from the exponential law was observed at lower temperatures.
