Manometric measurements were used to study H permeation and diffusion through membranes of 3N8-purity Ni. The data, for temperatures ranging from 25 to 500C, could be described by:

P (cm2/s atm½) = 2.30 x 10-2 exp[-13.09(kcal/mol)/RT]

and

D (cm2/s) = 4.02 x 10-3 exp[-9.39(kcal/mol)/RT]

These results were independent of the grain size, for sizes of 30 to 120μ.
