By using a time-lag technique, the permeation and diffusion of H was studied. The Arrhenius plot for permeation exhibited a break at 620K, whereas the Arrhenius plot for diffusion was linear over the entire temperature range which was studied (300 to 550C). At 310C, ln [D (cm2/s] was equal to 13 and, at 550C, it was equal to 10.5.
