An investigation was made of the H permeability of Ni-8.5%Mn, and ordered or disordered Ni3Mn, at temperatures ranging from 650 to 1100K. The H permeability through Ni-8.5%Mn obeyed a linear Arrhenius relationship, with an activation energy of 25kcal/mol. In the case of Ni3Mn, the H permeability decreased with increasing disorder.
