Ribbons of the metallic glass were cold-rolled to a reduction of about 25%. As-quenched and cold-rolled samples were then cathodically charged in 1N H2SO4. It was observed that the H embrittlement susceptibility was enhanced by cold-rolling. The ductility recovery kinetics were then used to estimate the H diffusivity (figure 22). The results indicated an increase in H diffusivity due to deformation.
