An investigation was made of electrotransport in the α phases of the respective systems at temperatures and pressures of 250 to 350C and 50 to 760torr, respectively. The transport charges were found to be given by:

H:      Z*(e) = 0.52 exp[50/RT]

D:     Z*(e) = 1.1 exp[-790/RT]

At 300C, both H isotopes had approximately the same transport charge (0.54).
