The permeability of alloy foil at 450C increased linearly from 30 to 80m/h when the H partial pressure was increased from 25 to 210atm. The permeability also increased with increasing temperature; with this increase being greater at higher pressures. It also increased when the surface of the foil was coated with Pd-black (by electrodeposition) or with a thin film of Ag (by vacuum sputtering).
