The dynamics of H sorption in β-phase material was studied, at temperatures of between 550 and 900C, by using dilatometry. It was found that this method, together with an integral solution to the diffusion equation and a finite difference approximation, provided a simple approach to the study of diffusion in monophase Ti alloys.
