A study was made of isothermal gas release from single crystals which had been irradiated to a neutron dose (E ≥ 10keV) of 5.8 x 1015/cm2. The data for Xe diffusion in β-CsCl, at temperatures ranging from 370 to 600C, could be described by:
D (cm2/s) = 0.1 exp[-0.87(eV)/kT]
Those for Xe diffusion in α-CsCl could be described by:
D (cm2/s) = 0.1 exp[-0.90(eV)/kT]
