Chronopotentiometry was used to study the diffusion of U4+ ions at concentrations ranging from 1 to 1.5wt%. The diffusivity at 1100K was equal to 3.09 x 10-5cm2/s. The overall results, for temperatures ranging from 920 to 1206K, could be described by:
log[D (cm2/s)] = -2.51-2200/T]
The diffusivity of U4+ at 1100K was equal to 3.09 x 10-5cm2/s, and that of U3+ was 4.20 x 10-5cm2/s.
