Chronopotentiometric methods were used to study the diffusion of Y3+ in equimolecular melts. The value at 700C was 1.96 x 10-5cm2/s, and that at 800C was 2.96 x 10-5cm2/s; thus suggesting an Arrhenius relationship of the form:

D (cm2/s) = 1.49 x 10-3 exp[-8.359(kcal/mol)/RT]
