Chronopotentiometric and impedance measurements, during the electrolysis of melts, were used to investigate the diffusion of Pb2+ ions. The impedance data, for temperatures ranging from 710 to 960C, indicated an activation energy of 11.1kcal/mol. The chronopotentiometric data, for temperatures ranging from 710 to 960C, indicated an activation energy of 9.2kcal/mol. The diffusivity at 800C was equal to about 4.5 x 10-5 cm2/s.
