Chronopotentiometry was used to study the diffusion of Zr2+ ions in liquid LiCl which contained 0.70 to 0.75wt%Zr. The results, for temperatures ranging from 973 to 1105K could be described by:
log[D (cm2/s)] = -2.53 - 1660/T
The rate of diffusion of Zr2+ was higher than that of Zr4+.
