The electrochemical reduction of actinides (U, Pu, Np and Am) and lanthanides (La and Nd) chlorides was investigated using cyclic voltammetry and chronopotentiometry at various temperatures in LiCl-KCl eutectic. The diffusion coefficients of AmCl2 and AmCl3 at 450C were 2.5 x 10-5 and 1.1 x 10-5cm2/s, respectively.
