Chronopotentiometry was used to measure diffusion data for AuI. It was found that the diffusivity at 450C was equal to 1.4 x 10-5cm2/s, and that the results for temperatures ranging from 400 to 600C could be described by:

D (cm2/s) = 1.14 x 10-3 exp[-6.3(kcal/mol)/RT]
