The electrochemical behavior of Li+ was studied on inert and active electrodes in molten LiCl-KCl eutectic. Cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry and chronopotentiometry were used to explore the deposition mechanism of Li. The reduction process of Li+ was irreversible, and the diffusion coefficient of Li+ at 723K was deduced to be 6.68 x 10-6cm2/s.
