The solubility of lithium oxide (Li2O), and the diffusion coefficient of oxide ions (O2-), were determined to be 0.83mol% and 2.1 x 10-6cm2/s, respectively, at 773K in a LiCl-KCl-CsCl eutectic melt. Cyclic voltammograms showed that O2 evolution on a boron-doped diamond electrode was reversible and that CO2 evolution on a glassy carbon electrode was irreversible.
