Chronopotentiometry was used to study cathodic processes which occurred in molten solutions of NiCl2 in alkali metal chloride melts. The diffusion coefficients for Ni ions in the melts were determined, and the presence of complex ions was established. The diffusivity of Ni ions in samples which contained 2 x 105NiCl2/cm3 was equal to 2.82 x 10-5cm2/s at 805C.
