The diffusion of divalent Zn ions into single crystals was studied by using atomic absorption spectrophotometry to determine the Zn concentrations. The diffusivity of Zn2+, at from 540 to 720C, could be described by:

D (cm2/s) = 4.0 x 10-2 exp[-1.06(eV)/kT]
