The electrochemical reduction of TiIV in the molten fluorides was studied by using linear sweep voltammetry, chronopotentiometry and chronoamperometry. The diffusivity of TiIII in LiF-29.6BeF2-5mol%ZrF4 at 500C was equal to 1.0 x 10-6cm2/s according to voltammetric data, and equal to 1.9 x 10-6cm2/s according to chronopotentiometric data.
