Chronopotentiometric methods were used to study the diffusion of Ni2+ (in concentrations of 0.01 to 0.0148g-equivalent/cm3) in eutectic melts at 1000C. The resultant diffusivity was 2 x 10-6cm2/s. This value was almost an order of magnitude smaller than that obtained by using the Stokes-Einstein relationship.
